02/27/2010 — Congratulations to Yazid Zouaimia, STATE CHAMPION for the 3200 Meter
Run!
The Virginia High School League Indoor Track State Meet was held in
Newport
News on Feb.26-27. Centreville’s boys’ indoor track and field team finished in
12th
place with 13 points. Senior Yazid Zouaimia won the 3200 Meter Run
with a personal best of
9:15.67, distancing himself from his nearest
competitor by more than 7 seconds.
The 4 x 800 Meter Relay Team of junior
Bobby Kelly, senior Joey Hannah, senior Mattson Heiner, and
Zouaimia finished in 6th Place with a time of 8:09.29.
