Congratulations to Warren Denny on being named the
Concorde District’s Co-Player of the Year. Also congratulations to
Cameron Owens (All Concorde District 1st Team), Chris
Campbell
(All Concorde District Defensive Team), Bobby Warhurst
(All Concorde District Honorable Mention), and Nick
Tisinger
(All Concorde District Honorable Mention). Come see these five
starters and the rest of the Wildcat Boys Basketball team play the winner of the
Chantilly/Herndon quarter-final game on Friday, February 19th (7:45 PM) at
Westfield HS.

Centreville High School 108, Robinson Secondary School 108

02/04/2010 – The Centreville High School Boy’s Varsity Indoor Track tied Robinson Secondary School team. The score was 108 to 108 in a playoff contest played at Centreville High School.

Heading into the final event — the boys 4×400-meter relay —
at the 2010 Concorde District indoor track and field championship, held on February 4th, the
Robinson boys’ team held a 104-98 advantage over Centreville.

The
Wildcat team of Austin Erikson, Mattson Heiner, Terrence Kennedy and
Paul Barbour won the 4×400 in a time of 3 minutes, 33.41 seconds to
earn 10 points and help the Wildcats finish with 108 points. The Rams
finished fourth, earning four points to also finish the night with 108
points — causing the Rams and Wildcats to share the district title.

The
Wildcats were led by Yazid Zouaimia, who won the 1,600 (4:20.96) and
3,200 (9:20.51) and was part of Centreville’s winning 4×800 relay team.
In addition to being the anchor for the Wildcats’ winning 4×400 relay,
Barbour also won the long jump (21-06) and triple jump (42-02).
